Sra logo
The Solicitors Regulation Authority is insisting that all regulated bodies controlled by them (not all are run by solicitors) must display a special "clickable" logo somewhere on their website. This is provided by a third party, Yoshki.com. This is based in England but the host of the site of the logo is called GitHub which is based in the USA.
My guess is that the company approached some executive at the SRA in the same way that double-glazing salemen do, and persuaded them to buy something they did not need.
There is some controversy over the use of the logo because there is insufficient clarity about how the data of the person clicking the logo will be used.
If you wish to check if this firm is regulated I suggest that you do not use the logo but go direct to the SRA website for information about my firm: https://www.sra.org.uk/consumers/,
using the name of my firm, E-solicitors Ltd, or my firm SRA ID number 607474
More specifically: https://www.sra.org.uk/consumers/find-use-instruct-solicitor/law-firm-search/?q=607474&hs=1
In fact the Law Society Find a Solicitor website is a better source of information because their search engine is better:
https://solicitors.lawsociety.org.uk/
You are welcome to use the logo if you wish but at your own risk.
Here it is:
